We recently installed a Herma top-apply label applicator for a biotechnology company in Cork, labelling up to 30 cartons/minute.
A Matrix 210 fixed mount barcode scanner was also installed on the line to automatically scan the 
barcodes and feed this information into the AIS VB5. The VB5 sends an alert to the operator if an issue is detected i.e. wrong read, no read, damaged or incorrect code etc.
The production on this line has now been almost fully automated and has replaced the previous manual process with was very slow and inefficient.
This new functionality, engineered by the AIS team has meant a reduction in production time, increased labelling accuracy and less requirement for human interaction on the line resulting in less mistakes due to human error.
