Established in 1998, we are an Irish owned company with divisions in Spain and the Netherlands.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

At AIS we have been working hard to implement some CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives to include:
•    Sustainability Forum – This group of team members regularly meet to discuss ideas on how we as a business, and on a personal level, can be more environmentally friendly. We have introduced initiatives to reduce plastic consumption in the office and encourage recycling and composting.
•    Culture Clubs – In order to facilitate the wide group of interests among our team members and provide an opportunity to try new things we introduced the AIS Food Club, Travel Club, Movie Club and Book Club.
•    Health, Wellness & Wellbeing – We regularly run challenges e.g. step challenge/distance challenge to encourage team members to keep active. We also take part in local sporting activities e.g. Quest Challenge. •    Charity Work/Volunteering – We like to dedicate any fitness challenges we do to certain charities. We also organise team litter picks/beach cleaning and other volunteering activities.

Senior Automation Controls Engineer 

Details: full time, permanent, Monday to Friday
 
Responsibilities with minimum 5 years’ experience in the following:
1.    Electrical and safety system circuit design.
2.    Advanced level in development of PLC / HMI using either Siemens S7, AB Controls Logix or TwinCAT 3.
3.    Ability to design, configure and debug complex motion control systems.
4.    Experience with industrial network protocols.
5.    Experience in industrial robotic programming desirable (KUKA, FANUC, ABB or other).
6.    Vision system implementation experience desirable.
7.    Experience in collaboration on completing risk assessments and knowledge of CE documentation framework.
8.    Ability to generate design specifications from a customer URS and follow through to execution of IQ, OQ, PQ validation protocols.

Requirements:
1.    Educational Background: Degree in Electrical Engineering.
2.    Experience: Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. Experience in Conveyors and/or Robotics is desirable. 
3.    Autonomy and Initiative: Exhibit the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, displaying initiative, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills in resolving technical issues and fulfilling job responsibilities.
4.    Communication & Language Skills: It is essential you’re fluent in English (written & spoken) and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with team members and customers to convey technical information, provide assistance, and build positive relationships.
5.    Driving License: Have a valid full EEA driving license, enabling travel to customer sites nationwide.

In-house Mechanical Fitter 

Details: Full time, permanent, Monday to Friday
Location: Dublin, Ireland

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our automation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the precise assembly of custom machinery and automation equipment, focusing on mechanical, electromechanical, and pneumatic systems. This role requires hands-on experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work from detailed engineering drawings and schematics.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
1.    Interpret and work from engineering drawings, pneumatic schematics, and technical manuals.
2.    Assemble mechanical and electromechanical components to precise engineering standards.
3.    Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments during the build process.
4.    Operate manual workshop machinery such as lathes and milling machines.
5.    Measure, modify, and fit components to ensure alignment and correct operation.
6.    Conduct quality checks and self-inspections to maintain high workmanship standards.
7.    Support and mentor junior team members as required.
8.    Adhere to project timelines and deadlines.
9.    Perform additional duties as assigned by the department manager.
 
Requirements:
1.    Relevant technical qualification (Mechanical Fitting)
2.    Proven experience in assembling bespoke machinery or automated systems (2+ years).
3.    Hands-on experience in building and fitting electromechanical assemblies.
4.    Competence in assembling and troubleshooting pneumatic systems.
5.    Strong technical skills with the ability to read and interpret mechanical and pneumatic drawings and technical documentation.
6.    High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
7.    Exhibit the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, displaying initiative, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills in resolving technical issues and fulfilling job responsibilities.
8.    Fluent in English (written & spoken) and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with team members and customers to convey technical information, provide assistance, and build positive relationships.
9.    Desirable skill but not required: Electrical knowledge or cross-disciplinary skills in mechanical/electrical fitting.

In-house Service Technician 

Details: Full time, permanent, Monday to Friday
 
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
1.    Repair: Conduct in-house repair of industrial printing and labelling equipment (Zebra, Cab), ensuring optimal functionality and customer satisfaction.
2.    Technical Support: Provide comprehensive telephone support to customers, addressing queries, troubleshooting issues, and offering timely solutions to technical problems.
3.    Project Assistance: Collaborate with Project Engineers on projects, offering technical support as needed to ensure successful project outcomes.
4.    Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of service activities. Prepare detailed reports on equipment status and service interventions.
 
Requirements:
1.    Educational Background: Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering ideal but not required.
2.    Experience: Have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role and/or in a similar industry.
3.    Autonomy and Initiative: Exhibit the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, displaying initiative, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills in resolving technical issues and fulfilling job responsibilities.
