Our customer, a global medical device manufacturer, was tasked with automating their highly manual end of line packaging process.
After a lengthy and thorough tendering process, AIS Ltd was selected as the vendor of choice to supply the automatic label printing, automatic application and 100% inspection elements of the project.
The AIS Ltd solution involved custom designed hardware for a challenging 3 side label wrap, and 
both custom and off-the-shelf software allowing (ISO standard) 100% label print inspection of over 60 print fields on every label. The solution comprises a Herma Label Applicator with an integrated Zebra Printer and Microscan LVS 7500 Label Inspection System.
All of the above was achieved at product speeds of over 20 parts per minute.
The project has been a huge success and will be replicated across the globe in many of their other manufacturing sites.
