It was this week 20 years ago when Automatic Identification Systems (AIS) Ltd was first established by Simon Smyth and Mick Heavey. 20 years on and a lot has changed!
A brief timeline
24th Aug 1998: AIS Ltd was established by Simon Smyth (MD) and Mick Heavey (Non-Exec
Director).
Nov 1998: First machine sold.
June 2003: Moved to Park West Offices.
Nov 2011: AIS UK established.
April 2013: Scanology in Netherlands purchased (now AIS Scanology).
Nov 2013: AIS Vision, Spain established.
End 2013: Second unit purchased in Park West to double office space in Dublin HQ.
Sept 2016: AIS opens Cork office.
August 2018:
- Team of 35 staff across AIS divisions and still growing.
- Over 2000 customers.
- ISO 9001:2015 certified
- Longstanding and solid partnerships with our partners Herma, Altech, Datalogic, Zebra, Omron Microscan, Leibinger and CAB.
